• Prepare patients for visits by reviewing and updating their records, ensuring all necessary information is up-to-date.
• Maintain exam rooms according to protocols, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for patients.
• Assist physicians and mid-level providers during examinations, taking vital signs and documenting patient information accurately.
• Provide initial medical screening, taking weight, height, temperature, blood pressure, and basic medical history.
• Utilize time efficiently, assisting with duties such as restocking rooms and supplies, and ensuring all areas are clean and orderly.
Requirements:
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to take patients' medical histories and understand provider instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff, demonstrating diplomacy and tact.
• Beginner to intermediate computing and phone skills, with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility in job duties and assignments, with a willingness to cross-train within other departments.
• Culturally sensitive and able to work effectively with ethnically diverse populations.
• Possess a thorough understanding of confidentiality and non-disclosure according to HIPAA standards.
• Bilingual English/Spanish and/or other languages strongly preferred.
• Valid Colorado Driver's License, insurance, and ability to travel as required.
Education:
• High school Graduate (or GED) required.
• Current, valid Certification of Medical Assistant.
• Current, valid CPR certification.
