Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at CSL Plasma. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our collection center, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and donors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain the collection center, including the employee break room and donor waiting area
  • Vacuum carpets, dust furniture, and remove trash
  • Clean windows and doors daily
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and replacing ceiling tiles
  • Monitor the grounds and parking lots, picking up litter as needed
  • Assist in recycling and repackaging of shipping materials
  • Inspect and clean restrooms throughout the day
  • Replace paper and soap supplies
  • Perform minor custodial tasks as required
  • Receive and move supplies from vendors and storage areas
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum three (3) months experience as a custodian preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions
  • Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines
  • Must be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation
  • Occasionally perform tasks while standing and walking up to 100% of time
  • Reach, bend, kneel, and have high level of manual dexterity
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood-borne pathogens
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks or in certain areas
