We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Unit Leader to join our team at SKLD Zeeland. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our residents, while also overseeing the daily operations of our nursing unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and manage a team of nursing staff, including CNAs and Nurses
    • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and training to staff
  • Clinical Expertise
    • Provide high-quality patient care and make sound clinical decisions
    • Assess and evaluate the health status of residents and develop individualized care plans
    • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Current state license to practice as a nurse (RN or LPN)
    • Certification in nursing specialty desired
    • CPR Certified
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in electronic medical records
