Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Seafood Production Worker to join our team at The Chefs' Warehouse. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper rotation of incoming seafood inventory, processing customer orders, and maintaining a steady flow of production to meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all incoming seafood is properly rotated and stored in a clean and organized manner
  • Process customer orders in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy and quality
  • Read and follow production schedules and customer orders to determine items to be processed and distributed
  • Convey materials and items from stocked locations to production areas or storage using electric pallet jacks
  • Lift and move seafood products, up to 100 pounds with assistance, to and from storage and production areas
  • Use electric scaling machines to scale fish, standing for long periods as needed
  • Sort and place items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences
  • Work in refrigerated rooms at temperatures between 30-36 degrees
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for stock items and distributes items to the correct locations
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to the packing station or shipping department
  • Marks or labels items with identifying information, ensuring accuracy and legibility
  • Opens boxes, crates, and other containers to access products
  • Records amounts of items distributed, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards
  • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the warehouse, to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
