The Travel Cath Lab Technologist plays a critical role in the healthcare team, providing specialized care in the cardiac catheterization lab. This position requires a commitment to excellence in patient care and technical proficiency.
Certification Requirements- ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
- BLS: Basic Life Support (Required)
- ARRT: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Preferred)
- RCIS: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Preferred)
- Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM with a minimum call requirement of one night per week and one weekend per month.
- Cross-training: Candidates with experience in the Electrophysiology lab are highly desired.
- Provide direct patient care, including sheath removal and the interpretation of hemodynamic waveforms and electrocardiographic tracings.
- Monitor and manage inventory, assisting with patient transfers as needed.
- Prepare, maintain, and operate advanced radiologic equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including cardiac and peripheral catheterizations.
- Participate in quality control monitoring programs.
- The department seeks candidates who are cross-trained in both the Electrophysiology and catheterization labs.
- Education: Completion of an approved Cardiovascular Technology Program or an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Studies (Required).
- Relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of experience as a cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology technologist is preferred.
All candidates must comply with vaccination requirements or possess an agency-approved medical or religious exemption for COVID-19.
