Leasing Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Leasing Consultant to join our team at Jones Street Residential. As a Leasing Consultant, you will play a critical role in the success of our community by providing exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to enhance occupancy and community performance
- Provide information about the community and apartments to prospective residents, scheduling site tours and conducting leasing presentations
- Oversee the leasing process from introduction to occupancy, maintaining communication with residents throughout their tenancy
- Collect security deposits, rent, and other funds associated with resident moves
- Prepare lease documentation, following qualification, screening, and acceptance procedures
- Optimize occupancy, maintain effective lease rent, and increase community traffic
- Maintain prospect, traffic, and leasing data in our database
- Retain thorough product knowledge of market competition, prepare competitive survey reports, and analyze real estate market trends
- Respond to resident complaints and issues, ensuring resolution and satisfaction
- Support overall marketing efforts, providing input and suggestions on promotions and advertisements
- Maintain accurate knowledge of community information, including rent, pricing, vacancies, and lease expirations
- Inspect vacant apartments to ensure readiness for showing
- Conduct follow-up activity with residents to establish positive relationships
- Maintain open communication with the Community Manager and Maintenance Manager
- Implement community policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- 1-2 years of sales experience in retail, hospitality, or multifamily environments
- Ability to work regular weekend hours, including Saturdays and Sundays
- Proficient computer and software skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work
- Trustworthy and reliable, with sensitivity to confidential matters
- Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance
- Neat appearance and professional attire
- Experience with Yardi highly preferred
