Position Overview: ProLocums is seeking a qualified provider for inpatient general cardiology coverage.
Specialty: Cardiology
Job Responsibilities: The role involves providing inpatient cardiology services for two consecutive weeks each month. Weekend coverage is required, which includes patient rounds and call responsibilities.
Work Schedule: Inpatient coverage is expected from 8 AM to 5 PM, including morning rounds, new admissions, and discharges. The provider will also support the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
On-Call Requirements: Yes, weekend on-call is part of the role, with responsibilities from Saturday morning through Sunday evening.
Patient Load: Anticipated patient load is between 15 to 25 patients.
Qualifications: Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in cardiology. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
Support Staff: The provider will collaborate with medical students, residents, fellows, and other attending physicians, along with advanced practice providers.
EMR System: The facility utilizes Epic for electronic medical records.
Collaboration Expectations: The ideal candidate should be an effective team player, demonstrating strong teaching and collaborative skills.
