Job Description

This position is open to a Registered Nurse seeking a new challenge in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee. As a school-based health center nurse, you will be part of a team providing primary care, urgent care, and mental health services to students and members of the community. With a focus on health promotion, disease prevention, and restoration of health, this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in nursing and one year of clinical nursing experience. Tennessee or compact state licensure as an RN is required. Ambulatory care experience is preferred but not necessary. Salary will be based on experience, with a competitive range expected for this position.

About the Job:

  • Evaluate and treat patient health complaints following nursing protocols
  • Ensure the scientific application of the principles of nursing science, patient safety, and patient teaching
  • Utilize nursing skills in health promotion, disease prevention, and restoration of health
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

About the Location: The school-based health center is located inside the Hancock County Middle/High School, offering convenient access to healthcare services for students and community members.
