Job Opportunity

The University of Vermont is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a full-time lecturer/senior lecturer position in the Department of Counseling, Human Development and Family Science. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of faculty members who are committed to advancing the field of counseling and human development.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses at the master's level, providing clinical supervision, advising students, and collaborating with department faculty and staff. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about teaching, research, and service, and who is committed to advancing the field of counseling and human development.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses at the master's level in counseling and human development
  • Provide clinical supervision to students
  • Advise students in the Counseling Programs
  • Collaborate with department faculty and staff on program development and service
  • Engage in research and scholarship in the field of counseling and human development
Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP accredited program
  • Licensed or licensed eligible in either school counseling or clinical mental health counseling
  • Evidence of equity-oriented, social justice work within the counseling profession
  • Evidence of effective teaching at the graduate level
  • Evidence of effective clinical supervision of counseling students
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience coordinating/managing an in-house clinic as well as field placement sites
