Academic Surgical and Pulmonary Pathologist Opportunity

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Vermont is seeking a dedicated academic Surgical Pathologist for a full-time faculty appointment. This position offers a unique opportunity to join a vibrant and diverse academic community, contributing to the excellence of the institution through research, teaching, and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide diagnostic pathology for patients served in Vermont, upstate New York, and New Hampshire, resulting in a total of 45,000 surgical pathology specimens annually.
  • Engage in the education and mentoring of medical students, residents, and fellows in general surgical pathology, dermatopathology, cytopathology, and hematopathology.
  • Pursue scholarly activities and participation in clinical and/or basic science research.
Qualifications:
  • Board eligibility or certification in Anatomic Pathology.
  • Demonstrated interest and/or experience in pulmonary pathology.
  • Commitment to educational, scholarly, and clinical excellence.
