Job Title: Property Field Claim Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Field Claim Specialist to join our team at The Auto Club Group. As a Property Field Claim Specialist, you will be responsible for handling complex claims, reviewing assigned claims, and ensuring all possible policyholder benefits are identified.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review assigned Personal Property, Commercial Property, and Farm Property claims
  • Contact insureds and other affected parties to set expectations and initiate documentation
  • Complete complex coverage analysis and ensure all possible policyholder benefits are identified
  • Create additional sub-claims if needed and conduct thorough reviews of damages
  • Evaluate the financial value of the loss and approve payments accordingly
  • Refer claims to other company units when necessary and thoroughly document and/or code the claim file
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Completion of the Insurance Institute of America's General Insurance Program, Associate in Claims, Associate in Management, or equivalent
  • CPCU coursework or designation and Xactware Training
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, climb ladders, and walk on roofs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three years of experience in negotiation of claim settlements, securing and evaluating evidence, preparing manual and electronic estimates, subrogation claims, resolving coverage questions, taking statements, and establishing clear evaluation and resolution plans for claims
  • Advanced knowledge of Essential Insurance Act (Michigan), Fair Trade Practices Act, subrogation procedures and processes, intercompany arbitration, handling simple litigation, and advanced knowledge of building construction and repair techniques
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary of $63,000 to $80,000 annually with annual bonus potential based on performance
