Banquet Server

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Banquet Server to join our team at Stonebridge Companies. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring that every event is a success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve food and beverage items to guests in a friendly, enthusiastic, and professional manner.
• Attend all designated pre-event meetings to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
• Understand and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), including room diagrams, to ensure accurate setup and service.
• Gather and coordinate all necessary equipment to service banquet events.
• Perform all service standards to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Attend to the needs of guests during functions and function-related duties.
• Report any need for housekeeping and/or repairs of banquet equipment to the Banquet Captain and/or Banquet Manager.
• Maintain regular attendance and adhere to hotel standards.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
• Follow all money handling procedures when serving guests.
• Prepare rooms according to BEOs and various meal functions.
• Clean up banquet spaces after events and ensure all equipment and supplies are stored and restocked properly.
• Maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat and orderly manner, stocked with necessary supplies.
• Respond to guest problems, complaints, and accidents, and communicate with management as necessary.

Requirements:

• 3 to 6 months of relevant experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to interpret and perform basic math functions.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions.
