Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in various harvest processes including preparation, drying, shelling, and unloading of products.
  • Execute a range of tasks related to general plant, field, and warehouse operations that adapt with seasonal changes.
  • Monitor and operate highly automated machinery for tasks such as harvesting, conditioning, and packaging.
  • Conduct product return and sorting activities efficiently.
  • Participate actively in conditioning processes including sizing, gravity operation, and palletizing.
  • Assist in field operations such as scouting and logistics management.
  • Utilize automation and computerized systems for task execution, including the use of tablets and computers.
  • Perform various warehouse duties including forklift operation and sample collection.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED, or a commitment to obtain a GED within twelve months of employment.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, standing, and lifting up to fifty pounds, in diverse environmental conditions.
  • Proficient in technology with a solid understanding of Microsoft Applications and a willingness to learn company-specific software.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and solve problems effectively.
  • Valid US Driver's License.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and clients.
  • Demonstrated integrity and a proactive approach to fostering a positive work environment.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards, ensuring adherence to protocols for a safe workplace.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts and overtime during peak production periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Agriculture, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field.
  • One year of relevant experience in operations, manufacturing, or agriculture.
  • Familiarity with LEAN Manufacturing principles and practices.
  • General knowledge of agricultural equipment and machinery.
