MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

At Belden, you'll be part of a team that drives innovation and connectivity. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing and implementing optimal manufacturing processes and methods in the advanced machining department.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods
  • Coordinating manufacturing launches for new or revised products
  • Improving manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency
  • Developing routings, processes, and tooling for alternate equipment
  • Creating or assisting with machining programs for CNC equipment
  • Collecting and analyzing data to drive fact-based decisions for continuous improvement

You'll work closely with the Senior Manufacturing Engineer and be located on site in East Syracuse, NY. As a Manufacturing Engineer at Belden, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Carry out process improvement, problem resolution, project management, and employee training
  • Address production stops and take corrective action when problems are process-related
  • Develop and test tools, machinery, and equipment for improving manufacturing methods or efficiency
  • Maintain machining department performance metrics
  • Verify rates for current processes and update SAP as required
