About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective administration of radiopharmaceuticals to patients undergoing nuclear medicine procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality control on all nuclear medicine equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Maintain the radiopharmaceutical laboratory, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Document patient information and medical records accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) is mandatory.
  • Current State of Louisiana Nuclear Medicine Technologist License is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
  • Proficiency in Windows-style applications and keyboard operation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
