Position Overview
This role represents a key level within the Health Services framework.
Individuals in this position are responsible for managing and delivering healthcare services to designated groups. Key responsibilities may encompass administering medications, providing first aid, conducting medical assessments and vaccinations; organizing medical examinations and procedures; maintaining comprehensive records; instructing on First Aid and CPR; planning and executing health clinics; educating clients and staff on health matters; procuring medical supplies; completing necessary documentation; and ensuring adherence to relevant standards and regulations. Individuals may also oversee junior staff.
Key Responsibilities

- Delivers healthcare services to the community, addressing a spectrum of needs, including emergency first aid, treatment of illnesses and injuries, administration of vaccines, scheduling of medical assessments, performing urine tests, and dispensing medications.
- Organizes, files, and retrieves various records, reports, and documentation, including patient data, legal paperwork, and certifications.
- Facilitates health-related training sessions, classes, and certification programs.
- Manages inventory and supply levels; places orders as necessary.
- Performs additional duties as required.
- All core responsibilities listed above, plus:
- Conducts psychiatric evaluations and assessments using established methodologies. Coordinates psychiatric appointments with Advanced Practitioner clinics.
- Directly manages Advanced Practice clinics for medical patients, particularly in relation to case presentations.
- Monitors treatment and testing for complex medical and psychiatric cases.
- Provides support to current staff during emergencies, staffing shortages, medication administration, and other assigned tasks.
- All core responsibilities listed above, plus:
- Provides care across various settings, including juvenile and adult populations and employee health clinics.
This role does not entail supervisory responsibilities for lower-level staff. However, it may assist higher management in coordinating tasks such as prioritizing and delegating work, conducting performance reviews, ensuring staff training, maintaining compliance with policies, and fostering a safe work environment.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED), completion of Licensed Practical Nurse training, and two years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse; or a comparable combination of education and experience that enables the individual to perform the essential duties of the position.
Licensing Requirements
Licensed Practical Nurse. Preferred certifications in Phlebotomy and IV therapy. Valid Driver's License as mandated by state regulations.
