At Duininck Minnesota and South Dakota, we are seeking a skilled Paving Equipment Operator to join our team. As a Paving Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment safely to apply tack according to paving specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment to apply tack according to paving specifications.
  • Prepare distributor and continuously monitor performance to achieve required specifications for paving.
  • Work closely with other crew members using hand signals to coordinate work and ensure safety.
  • Perform daily inspection and maintenance to ensure distributor is in safe, proper working order.
  • Report to shop when distributor needs maintenance and repair.
  • Keep equipment clean and prepare for transport when needed.
  • Maintain orderliness, cleanliness, and safety at the job site.
  • Follow Supervisor's instructions closely.

Requirements:

  • CDL A with tanker and hazmat endorsements.
  • Current DOT health card.
  • Understanding of distributor mechanicals.
  • Adherence to all safety regulations.
  • Personal Protection Equipment requirements.
  • Unwavering focus on safety.
  • MSHA | OSHA certification.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Central and Western Minnesota, Northern Iowa, and Eastern Dakotas.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch, and sit.
  • Work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly work extended hours outdoors and in various weather conditions.
  • Travel is required.
