Job Summary

Duininck Minnesota and South Dakota is seeking a skilled Screed Operator to join our team. As a Screed Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating the screed to level asphalt or concrete, ensuring specified surface quality and paving depth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the screed to achieve precise grading and paving results
  • Collaborate with grade checkers, lasers, or GPS to maintain accurate grading
  • Communicate effectively with crew members to coordinate work and ensure safety
  • Perform daily inspections and maintenance to ensure equipment is in safe, proper working order
  • Notify mechanics when equipment requires maintenance or repair
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Requirements
  • CDL Class A commercial license required
  • Basic understanding of screed mechanics
  • Comprehension of safety regulations and Personal Protection Equipment requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Willingness to travel throughout Central and Western Minnesota, Northern Iowa, and Eastern Dakotas
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch, and sit. You will work outside in all weather conditions and may be required to work extended or overtime hours. Travel is required for this position.
