We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mobile Healthcare Specialist to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As an integral part of our in-home care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the comfort of their own homes.

Job Summary

The Mobile Healthcare Specialist will provide medical care and support services to patients in their homes, working under the supervision of a virtual Advanced Practice Provider (APP). This role requires strong organizational and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

In this exciting opportunity, you will have the chance to make a real difference in people's lives by providing personalized care and attention to patients in need. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing medical care and support services to patients in their homes
  • Assisting with physical exams, point-of-care testing, and treatments
  • Communicating with healthcare providers via messaging, video conference, and mobile devices
  • Obtaining patient vital signs and collecting data
  • Facilitating physical exams and conducting diagnostic tests and treatments as requested by the virtual provider
  • Performing point-of-care lab testing as directed by the virtual provider
  • Preparing discharge instructions in conjunction with the provider
  • Ensuring equipment is used, cared for, and allocated properly

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • EMT certification with NREMT, or EMT-B (per state requirements) in good standing, OR Paramedic OR Medical Assistant
  • A minimum of one year of patient-facing experience
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • BLS, American Heart Association
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily while carrying equipment
  • Strong customer service, communication, and technological skills
