About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Home Healthcare Professional to join our team as a Medical Technician. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients in the comfort of their own homes.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have experience working in urgent care or family practice settings and possess strong organizational and customer service skills. As a Medical Technician with DispatchHealth, you will work at the direction of a virtual Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) while being present with patients in their homes.

Responsibilities
  • Drive DispatchHealth vehicle to meet patients at their place of need and load and unload supplies for daily activities
  • Don and doff PPE appropriately and maintain strict infection prevention strategies
  • Communicate with a healthcare provider via messaging video conference and mobile device
  • Obtain patient's vital signs and assist in the collection of patient data
  • Facilitate a physical exam using a mobile device and conduct other diagnostic tests and treatments as requested by virtual provider, as permitted by state law
  • Perform indicated point-of-care lab testing as directed by virtual provider
  • Prepare discharge instructions in conjunction with provider
  • Responsible for equipment use, care and allocation
  • Restock and clean equipment at end of shift appropriately
Requirements
  • EMT certification with NREMT, or EMT-B (per state requirements) in good standing, OR Paramedic OR Medical Assistant
  • Minimum one (1) year patient-facing experience
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • BLS, American Heart Association
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily while carrying equipment
Salary & Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000-$85,000, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k, paid time off, family leave, and short-term disability leave.
