Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Ascension Seton Northwest. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide direct patient care, implement and monitor patient care plans, and serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit, including assessing and coordinating patient care plans.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and meet their individual needs.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective care.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
