Kitchen Operations ManagerThe Millbrook Inn LLC is a luxurious boutique hotel and restaurant in the Hudson Valley, known for its commitment to quality and excellence. We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to assume a leadership role in our kitchen, driving innovation and growth in our culinary offerings.

Estimated Salary: $95,000 - $130,000 per year

In this position, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, manage inventory, and develop menus that showcase our farm-to-table philosophy. You will work closely with the culinary director to create an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation
  • Coordinate inventory management and ordering processes to minimize waste and optimize resources
  • Contribute to menu planning and recipe development, reflecting our brand's culinary identity
  • Train and evaluate kitchen staff members to maintain high performance standards
  • Ensure compliance with health codes and regulatory requirements, maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a sous chef in a similar environment
  • Proven track record of menu planning and execution
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
