We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Assistant to join our team at Binghamton University's Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Associate Deans, faculty, staff, and students, ensuring the effective and efficient operations of the College.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate multiple, complex priorities in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Provide administrative support for budgeting and accounting of the College's fiscal resources.
- Assist with research expense grants, including notification of requests for proposals and expenditure tracking.
- Support the academic dishonesty and grievance committee with scheduling meetings and hearings.
- Provide indirect support to the Assistant Dean of Academics and other senior administrators.
- Work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including campus leadership, faculty, staff, and industry partners.
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional standards.
- Bachelor's degree and three or more years of related experience with office administration and customer service skills.
- Experience with business management tools, including spreadsheets, word processing, calendar tools, and presentation software.
- Ability to communicate complex material effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to organize information and prioritize needs.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Master's degree in nursing education, public administration, higher education, or another applicable field of study.
- At least two years of work experience in an administrative or higher education setting.
- Experience conducting program evaluation and analyzing issues.
