Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is on the lookout for a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist / Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist. This role is situated in support of the Strategic Deterrent System (SDS) Division.

As a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist, you will enhance the success of our initiatives, aiding Northrop Grumman in transcending established boundaries and addressing future challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Engage in competitive and non-competitive sourcing for requests for quotations.

2. Optimize pricing through strategic bid package development.

3. Source Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Electronics and Hardware.

4. Assess supplier proposals and issue compliant purchase orders.

5. Extract, monitor, analyze, and validate data from various sources.

6. Cultivate collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to facilitate problem-solving.

7. Make informed decisions promptly, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and an agile understanding of compliance protocols in a regulated sector.

This position follows a standard 9/80 work schedule, allowing employees to work nine-hour days from Monday to Thursday and take every other Friday off. A competitive relocation assistance package may be offered.

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3

Basic Qualifications for Level 2:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 3 years of professional experience in supply chain management or related fields, including logistics, manufacturing/project management, business management, or information systems; or a Master's degree with 1 year of experience. A total of 7 years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance.

- Experience in cross-functional projects/meetings, either as a lead or contributor.

- Familiarity with Terms and Conditions, Non-disclosure agreements (NDA's), and pricing negotiations.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 6 years of professional experience in supply chain management or related fields, including logistics, manufacturing/project management, business management, or information systems; or a Master's degree with 4 years of experience. A total of 10 years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance.

- Experience in cross-functional projects/meetings, either as a lead or contributor.

- Familiarity with Terms and Conditions, Non-disclosure agreements (NDA's), and pricing negotiations.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in a regulated industry, including Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, and Telecommunications.

- Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP.

- Experience with various contracting formats.

- Knowledge of U.S. Government contracting and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisitions Regulation Supplement (DFARS).

- Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and innovative behaviors in previous roles or projects.

- High attention to detail.

- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Salary Range:
$56,600 - $85,000

Salary Range 2:
$69,600 - $104,400


The above salary range serves as a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
