Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse 2 to join our team at the University of Miami. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and providing leadership to our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Provide guidance and support to nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care and promote a positive work environment.
  • Medication Administration and Management: Safely administer medications and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communication and Education: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide education and support.
  • Discharge Planning and Transition of Care: Coordinate with patients and families to ensure a smooth transition of care and provide necessary resources for continued care.
  • Quality Improvement and Patient Safety: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and promote a culture of patient safety.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred.
  • Certification and Licensing: Valid Florida Registered Nurse License, ACLS, BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • Experience: One year of nursing experience.
