Job Description:

Scholastic Book Fairs is seeking a Seasonal Class A Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of book fairs to schools across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and pick up book fairs from our branch facilities to hub locations, utilizing a semi-tractor with a 48' or 53' trailer.
  • Work closely with our supervisors to ensure customer service standards are maintained and to resolve any issues that may arise during delivery.
  • Load and unload trucks with or without assistance, and effectively communicate routing problems to our supervisors.
  • Deliver and pick up product from schools, as scheduled, in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Secure and transport products to ensure they are delivered in excellent condition.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle and notify our supervisors of any defects or problems.
  • Complete and maintain accurate and legible records, including DOT logs, trip sheets, fuel tickets, and other paperwork as required.
  • Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including DOT and OSHA guidelines.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED certificate preferred.
  • Verifiable commercial driving experience of at least one year required.
  • Minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid CDL A license with air brake endorsement.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and handle heavy objects, including metal and plastic cases weighing over 350 pounds.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to read road maps and follow directions.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
