Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiography and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain complete clinical history and gather examination data to assess for contraindicating conditions.
  • Follow established procedures for the administration of contrast media to ensure patient safety.
  • Ensure that all studies have proper patient identification and right and left markers are utilized appropriately.
  • Review radiographic images for clinically acceptable results and release patients.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide for the restocking of the crash cart and maintenance of life support equipment.
  • Assist other technologists in all modalities as needed.
  • Verify two unique patient identifiers and correct clinical order prior to performing a procedure.
  • Ensure patient privacy and comfort are accommodated.
  • Organize schedule, time, and priorities to accomplish required activities within designated time frames.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Radiography certification.
  • Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in radiography or a related field.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
