Job Summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Cardiovascular Operating Room. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Implement and evaluate care of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and invasive surgical procedures.
Prioritize and actively participate in procedure process and supplies for specialty group of patients.
Identify verbally or in writing unusual incidents during patient care procedures and identify complex procedure problems related to patient reaction, symptoms, or changes in needs based on patient reactions.
Determine the equipment, materials, and resources needed to meet the patient procedure plan.
Keep the peri-operative team abreast of the procedure needs and progress.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent.
Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent job training.
Certification in Surgical Technology strongly preferred.
Two years multispecialty experience with one year in CVOR specialty area.
