About the Role

This role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in the Cardiology ICU D3 department.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working as a registered nurse in a hospital ICU, preferably in pediatric critical care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating patient care, using clinical judgment based on nursing skills acquired through formal and informal experiential knowledge and evidence-based guidelines.

The role requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive plan of care to meet the patient/family needs.

Responsibilities
  • Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate patient care
  • Use clinical judgment to develop an appropriate plan of care for the patient
  • Oversee care delivered by patient care team; coordinate plan of care
  • Provide education and facilitate learning for patients, families, and patient care team
  • Collaborate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to assist in developing and implementing an appropriate plan of care
Requirements
  • Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
  • BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association
  • PALS certification
  • At least 3 years of experience working as a registered nurse in a hospital ICU, preferably in pediatric critical care
