About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Homeland Center. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and healthy environment for our residents, patients, and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning duties in resident rooms, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Remove trash and waste from residents' rooms and transport waste to the disposal area.
  • Clean, maintain, and replenish resident bathrooms and supplies.
  • Clean and prepare rooms for new residents.
  • Clean, vacuum, scrub, wax, and perform other general cleaning duties to maintain resident common areas.
  • Assist maintenance with transferring residents and their belongings, as needed.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Basic English language skills, including the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Basic reasoning skills, including the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well within a geriatric setting.
  • Attention to detail and ability to complete repetitive tasks.
