Plant Production Operator

The Plant Production Operator is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the plant's production and maintenance processes. This includes examining and diagnosing operational problems, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities- Operate the plant in a production mode, maintaining established efficiencies and productivity levels.
- Examine and diagnose operational problems, and perform repairs according to accepted methods and procedures.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance practices to ensure the optimal performance of plant equipment.
- Ability to be multi-skilled in performing other related duties such as maintenance, repair, and yard loading when needed.
- Able to understand, interpret, and execute instructions given in both verbal and written form.
- Schedule or call for repairs and parts as necessary.
- Recognize and mitigate potentially hazardous situations.
- Adhere to all company, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations at all times.
- Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.
- Meet or exceed company safety standards.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating and maintaining an aggregate facility.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Welding and cutting experience highly preferred.
- Core understanding of conveyor belts, shaker screens, sand screws, and cyclone operations.
- Continuous exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and working outdoors.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must wear protective equipment while at the location.
- Ability to perform all job functions, including walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree, and/or pulling of controls.
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently and 70 pounds occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment.
