Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Main Banker to join our team at Ellis Park Racing and Gaming. As a Main Banker, you will be responsible for managing cash handling operations, reconciling transactions, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cash Handling and Reconciliation: Accurately count, verify, and reconcile cash transactions, including receiving and processing large amounts of money.
  • Financial Operations: Maintain strong knowledge of cash handling procedures, including preparing paperwork, balancing the main bank, and reconciling variances.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals, foster a positive work environment, and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Adherence to Policies: Adhere to Ellis Park Racing and Gaming's policies and procedures, including safety rules, health regulations, and financial guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or GED certification preferred.
  • Experience: One year of experience in cash handling or relevant work experience.
  • Licensing: Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid license through the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission (KHRC).
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience operating counting equipment, and strong mathematical skills.
Work Environment

The Main Banker will work in a fast-paced gaming environment with frequent exposure to smoke. The role requires the ability to work in a confined area and occasional exposure to hot/cold temperatures.
