Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

  • Reconcile essential balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and various profit and loss statements
  • Prepare and post journal entries, encompassing both standard and non-standard entries
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies and issues within the general ledger
  • Participate actively in the month-end closing process
  • Manage fixed assets and leases
  • Assist the VP of Finance in compiling schedules related to the monthly close, such as work in process
  • Engage in accounting and finance projects as opportunities arise

Qualifications and Requirements for the Senior Accountant:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Familiarity with general accounting practices
  • CPA certification is advantageous
  • Experience in public accounting is a plus
