Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Worth, Illinois.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound scans to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
  • Position and immobilize patients for procedures, ensuring optimal exam quality.
  • Operate portable ultrasound equipment as needed, performing procedures throughout the hospital.
  • Assist physicians with recommendations for optimal study selection and technical factors.
  • Document department records, including inventory management and patient statistics.
  • Prepare ultrasound rooms and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Secure pertinent medical history from patients for each procedure.
  • Comply with established hospital safety standards to ensure patient and staff safety.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and eligible for ARDMS registry.
  • ARDMS Registered or registry eligible within 24 months of graduation.
  • CPR certification.
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including odd shifts and on-call rotations.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform lifting activities related to patients.
