Mission/Objective

To become the authority on press operations, enhancing, auditing, and refining press control standards while providing on-the-job training for all team members.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Foster a workplace that promotes team motivation and engagement.
  • Ensure adherence to fundamental rules and expected behaviors.
  • Conduct on-the-job training and manage the JQM process.
  • Enhance, audit, and refine standard work for press operation controls.
  • Develop, audit, and improve 5S standards in all press and rework areas.
  • Lead shift startup meetings and maintain updates on the TL board.
  • Guarantee a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and practices.
  • Ensure BIQ through the application of quality control measures and address any quality issues or defects.
  • Implement escalation policies for safety, performance, and quality.
  • Aim to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience as a team leader (minimum of 1 year).
  • Familiarity with the Metalsa Operating System, including on-the-job training, team leader boards, Poke Yokes, standardized work, job safety analysis, etc.
  • Certification in train-the-trainer programs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical Competencies
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, planning, teamwork, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Safety and quality-focused.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Understanding of the Metalsa Operating System.
  • Consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a positive demeanor.
  • Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (TPS) and the ability to manage resources effectively.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Experience in training and developing personnel.
  • Willingness to work overtime with minimal notice.
  • Ability to enforce discipline and accountability.
  • Flexibility to work any shift.
