We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team at a large innovative food manufacturer. As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining food processing and packaging machines, mechanical/utility equipment in a USDA production environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Set-up, troubleshoot, and repair of stacking, bagging, check-weighing, UPC bar coding, case erectors, and conveyor equipment.
- Dismantling and re-assembly of equipment to perform repairs, cleaning, and lubrication according to established maintenance schedules.
- Testing, troubleshooting, and repair of 110/230/460V electrical equipment, including motors, starters, relays, timers, panels, breakers, conduit, and wiring.
- Troubleshooting equipment and systems such as HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, general electrical, including VFDs.
- Minor programming and troubleshooting of VFDs and PLCs.
- Knowledge of PLC programming on multiple platforms, including RS Logix and Factory Talk View programming.
- Knowledge of servo drives, motor controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, and power distribution.
- Fabricating parts and modifying equipment as required.
- Responsible for upholding, following, and maintaining the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing.
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic experience in a food (USDA or FDA) manufacturing environment.
- Experience with production and packaging machines working on mechanical and electrical problems.
- Experience working on automated machinery.
- 3+ years of troubleshooting high-speed machines.
- Multiple years of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Food production experience a plus.
