Contract Information:
Day Shift Available - 40 hour weeks - 8 week contracts

Experience in a trauma center is essential. The schedule will involve rotating weekends, with two weekends on duty followed by one weekend off. Shifts will vary, and a monthly schedule will be provided. The role requires availability for 3-5 on-call shifts each month. This position is for an 8-week contract with an immediate start.

Required Certifications:
Radiologic Technologist License/Fluoroscopy, and BLS


The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging procedures to produce detailed images that assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

This role involves collaboration with the radiology team and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.


Key Responsibilities:
Conducts all radiologic procedures available in the department, adhering to protocols for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Completes necessary documentation and performs computer-related tasks.

Assists radiologists, medical staff, and nursing personnel with imaging services.

Maintains the department's facilities, equipment, and materials to ensure efficiency, safety, and comfort for patients and staff.

Regularly checks and maintains equipment, supplies, and accessories according to facility protocols.

Ensures that supplies are current, clean, and adequately stocked.

Processes imaging films, evaluating them for technical quality and ensuring accurate patient identification and labeling.

Welcomes patients, verifies their identification, and confirms physician orders.

Collects and documents clinical histories prior to examinations.

Transports patients and communicates their status to nursing units.

Maintains confidentiality regarding medical and sensitive information.

Possesses knowledge of radiation safety measures to comply with regulatory standards.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent certification.

Completion of an accredited radiological technology program, whether community-based or hospital-based, as required by state or contract.

State license or certification as required.

Current ARRT certification is preferred.

Proficient in both verbal and written English.

Preferred one year of relevant experience as a radiologic technologist.

Adheres to all relevant professional standards of practice.

Participation in Amergis' Competency program when applicable.

Current CPR certification if applicable.

TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray as required.

Current health certificate as per contract or state regulations.

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to the job site.

Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.

Ability to effectively communicate information to appropriate individuals (including supervisors, co-workers, and clients) through strong communication skills; proficiency in English is required.

Computer proficiency is necessary.

Must be at least 18 years of age.
