About the Role:
The General Manager of Eatfuku is a key leadership position that requires a strong leader to oversee the daily operations of our restaurants. As an ambassador for the brand, you will be responsible for creating a fun and engaging guest experience, while also ensuring that our high standards of food quality, safety, and customer service are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of Front and Back of House operations, including food preparation, kitchen safety, and inventory management.
- Create and uphold a dynamic, engaging guest experience with a focus on hospitality.
- Engage, motivate, and develop Eatfuku team members on an ongoing basis.
- Monitor and ensure all standard operating procedures are being followed.
- Manage the purchasing, ordering, and inventory of all food, paper goods, cleaning, and other supplies.
- Manage food and beverage programs by analyzing food and beverage inventory, costs, and product mix.
- Responsible for aiding in the documentation of all operational procedures and processes for ongoing development of SOPs and relay feedback as necessary.
- Proficient knowledge and use of restaurant ordering and inventory management systems.
- Uphold stringent protocols of employee health and wellness, food safety, and overall restaurant cleanliness.
- Responsible for meeting budgeted financial targets, including top line sales, bottom line net income, labor cost percentage, and food, beverage, and retail (COGS) cost budgets.
- Holds weekly manager meetings, daily shift meetings with staff, and periodic full staff meetings.
- Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, human resource processing, coaching, disciplining, maintaining performance records, and managing all hourly personnel.
- Demonstrate mastery of all Eatfuku tech, including Toast POS System, Opus, Jolt, 7Shifts, and other tech platforms; train all team members to use them with ease.
- Responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality and consistency, ensuring all Eatfuku recipes are followed.
- Relay to staff any menu changes, meal specials, or other factors related to food service or dining room operation.
- Expert in guest recovery, both in-store and on all online ordering platforms, reviews, and is primarily responsible for following up with letters, complimentary items, etc.
- Execute the general responsibilities necessary to minimize operating costs, maintain a system of cost controls through purchasing and sales.
- Oversee maintenance procedures, including restaurant equipment and pest control and elimination procedures.
- Responsible for approving and entering all invoices into the Eatfuku accounting system.
- Responsible for approving payroll weekly, ensuring all time entries are correct and updated in 7Shifts.
- Create labor schedule based on changing needs of the business, submit schedules for review, and provide schedules to team members at least two weeks in advance.
- Uphold and enforce strict adherence to all Covid-19 protocols.
- Oversee all cash handling and deposit procedures, investigate and report any discrepancies, and ensure all bank deposits are made on time.
- Oversee and implement goals for team member incentive programs, provide feedback for future programs.
- Maintain all training materials, ensuring they are up to date.
- Communicate all new updates and initiatives with the team via various channels, including email, Opus, 7Shifts, in-store, and verbally.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years management experience, with at least 2 years of General Manager experience preferred.
- Strong leadership skills, experience in scheduling, inventory management, ordering, and a firm grasp of financial controls.
- Proven ability with employee engagement and dealing with employee relations.
- Extensive knowledge of kitchen equipment and procedures, safety and sanitation regulations, and knowledge of food and food production.
- Proven ability in coaching and monitoring front and back of house stations.
- Exceptional organization, communication, and supervisory skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-energy environment.
- A passion for food and hospitality with an excellent work ethic and dedication.
- Able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly, and constantly improve.
- NYC Food Handlers Certificate required.
