Adjunct Psychology Instructor Position

Muskegon Community College is seeking qualified candidates for Adjunct Instructors in the Psychology department.
Job Summary:We are looking for part-time instructors to teach psychology courses at our main campus and extension centers. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in the discipline or 18 credits in the specific discipline, with a strong commitment to student learning and success.
Responsibilities:- Teach assigned psychology courses, including day, night, and online classes.
- Establish and promote an effective learning environment that maximizes student learning.
- Prepare and submit reports related to student learning.
- Grading assignments in a meaningful way to promote continued student growth.
- Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled office hours or by appointment.
- Encourage student opinion survey completion for each class.
- Maintain levels of professional knowledge and expertise.
Master's degree in the discipline or 18 credits in the specific discipline. Prefer teaching experience at the college level. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations representing a wide range of abilities, ages, nationalities, and cultures. Experience with instructional technology preferred.
Work Environment:Normal office environment with little, if any, discomfort due to heat, dust, noise, and the like. Ability to travel to all campus locations required.
