Job Title: Swiss Machinist

Arcmed, a leading fluidics design and instrument manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled Swiss Machinist to join our team. As a Swiss Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining complex CNC machines, ensuring high-quality production and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program and operate multi-axis Swiss and/or mill-turn CNC Turning Centers using G-Code programming
  • Perform first-article and in-process inspections to ensure quality standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T specifications
  • Understand tooling and machining offsets, and perform basic machine maintenance
  • Manufacture parts and monitor in-process dimension standards to specifications
  • Use inspection tools, including calipers, height gauges, comparators, micrometers, rulers, and gauge pins
  • Document quality inspection features and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with Swiss programming CAM is a plus
  • At least 35 years of experience setting up and operating Swiss CNC and/or dual spindle lathes with live tooling
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions in English
  • Experience with power tools and/or industrial machinery
  • Ability to lift and move up to 20 lbs
