Overview
Prime Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to lead our laboratory team. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for supervising the daily operation of the laboratory, providing consultative services to the medical staff, and overseeing the section/department performance improvement program.
Responsibilities
As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for the technical and fiscal management of the laboratory, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements. You will assess staff competency, complete performance evaluations, and ensure the accuracy of patient results prior to releasing or reporting. You will also develop, maintain, and update laboratory policy and procedure manuals, and recognize age-specific differences in expected results for newborns to geriatrics.
Qualifications
ASCP certification, or equivalent, is required. A minimum of five years of hospital laboratory work experience is also required. A Bachelor's Degree in chemical, physical, biological science, or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution is also required.
