The successful candidate will be responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound exams, collaborating with medical staff, and maintaining accurate patient data.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and prioritize ordered exams
  • Collaborate with medical staff, including physicians, APCs, and residents
  • Collect medical information and patient histories
  • Perform cardiac ultrasound exams according to department protocols
  • Participate in training echocardiographic techniques and procedures
  • Clean and disinfect transesophageal probes and equipment
  • Perform quantitative measurements and calculations of acquired data
  • Maintain logs of patient data and files reports
  • Order and restock supplies
Requirements:

An experienced Adult Cardiac Sonographer is required to work in a busy Cardiac Department. This position is responsible for approximately 28 outpatients per week. The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing inpatient and outpatient procedures.

Studies Performed:

TTE, Stress Echo, Dobutamine Stress Echoes, Echo Contrast, Echo Bubble, TEE procedures. You are not required to start IVs.

Machinery Used:

6 Philips Epiq Echo Machines. Syngo Dynamics PACS.

Reporting System:

Cupid & EPIC.

RDCS Certification (or equivalent) is required.
