About the Role

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Technician to join our team. As a Mobile Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and diagnostic repairs
  • Repair and replace diesel engine components, including fuel systems, air brakes, and hydraulic systems
  • Conduct safety inspections and perform repairs to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Utilize electronic documentation and shop management systems to track work and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance; experience with heavy-duty trucks preferred
  • Valid CDL Class A license required; non-commercial driver's license preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
