As a Clinical Pharmacist at Ochsner Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive complete and appropriate drug therapy. This position assumes responsibility for managing pharmacy services to improve patient outcomes.
The job involves providing drug information to patients and healthcare providers, resolving prior authorizations and insurance billing, and overseeing the Patient Advocate team. You will also perform drug utilization review and checks for appropriateness, work with the Specialty Fulfillment team to ensure timely receipt of medications, and maintain an environment of teamwork and engagement.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of pharmacy practices and procedures. You will assume responsibility for professional development and continued education to stay up-to-date on industry developments.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree (required) or Doctor of Pharmacy degree (preferred)
- Licence to practice Pharmacy by the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy
- Experience as a pharmacist (preferably 2 years or more)
