Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated OB Surgical Technologist to join our team at Methodist Hospital Westover Hills. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of quality surgical care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field during surgical procedures.
  • Coordinate with the circulating perioperative nurse to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies according to manufacturer's recommendations and specifications.
  • Monitor the sterile field during procedures and take corrective action if necessary.
  • Prepare medications and solutions for use during procedures under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Maintain accountability for instruments, sponges, and sharps throughout the surgical procedure.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Surgical Technologist program or 1-year experience in a hospital setting as a surgical technologist.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery, Certified (TS-C) is required.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
