About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team in the Compressor/Testing department. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and testing compressors, working at heights, and assisting the test engineering group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and test compressors, including maneuvering large stands and bolting in place
  • Work at heights assembling pipe spools and pipe loops
  • Assist the test engineering group in monitoring and running compressor testing
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Review assembly instructions, specs, and blueprints
  • Inventory, clean, and visually inspect all components and stage equipment needed for assembly
  • Perform measurements and adjustments as necessary for correct tolerances
  • Notify management/engineering of issues and deviations from print
  • Carry out minor repairs within the scope of available expertise
  • Work with management/engineering to refine assembly best practices and train less experienced technicians
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in assembly of rotating equipment manufacturing
  • Preference given to applicants with specific expert knowledge of Siemens Energy Turbomachinery rotating equipment assembly
