Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join our team. As a key member of our Platform team, you will be responsible for designing, automating, and optimizing our Kubernetes-based platform, ensuring scalability, ease of use, and reliability.
This critical role requires someone who not only possesses deep technical expertise in cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes but also values mentoring, collaboration, and open communication. Your work will directly impact developer productivity by building systems and abstractions that simplify workload deployment, allowing developers to focus on feature development rather than infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design, implementation, and management of our Kubernetes-based platform, focusing on scalability, developer experience, and system reliability.
- Architect and maintain automation around Kubernetes, ensuring seamless developer interaction with the platform and minimizing operational overhead.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, build consensus, and deliver impactful solutions that drive business alignment.
- Integrate observability tools to monitor system health and performance, using metrics-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Drive infrastructure-as-code initiatives using Terraform, Helm, and Kustomize, promoting automation, repeatability, and reliability.
- Ensure smooth integration with CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve developer workflows to boost productivity.
- Contribute to operational excellence by taking ownership of on-call responsibilities, incident management, and self-healing capabilities.
- Mentor junior engineers, promoting growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 8+ years of experience in cloud-native software development, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering, with a strong focus on Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
- Operational experience at scale with technologies like Kafka and Airflow.
- Proficiency in common infrastructure languages like Golang, Python, and Terraform.
- Extensive experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, networking, and security.
- Strong understanding of system performance tuning and monitoring tools like Datadog and Prometheus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and drive initiatives in a high-pressure environment.
