Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Home Care team at Children's National Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the comfort of the patient's own home. Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide skilled nursing care, including wound care, medication management, and education to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the District of Columbia or Maryland.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in home care or a related field.
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings and weekends.
