Job Summary

We are seeking an Associate Account Manager to join our Employee Benefits Team at Alera Group. This role will support Account Managers and Account Executives in retaining existing accounts, providing prompt and efficient service to designated accounts and internal colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support account management team in servicing clients, preparing employee-facing materials and presentations, and conducting employee meetings to educate on benefits.
  • Review customer forms, enrollment applications, and master applications for accuracy and completeness, and submit to carriers.
  • Partner with account team to provide excellent, unified service to clients, proactively managing all aspects of the client lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate and complete client data in the client relationship management database, including documentation and management of action items and client interaction.
  • Adhere to service model and timelines developed to maintain profitable business while delighting the client.
  • Maintain a strong and productive working relationship with carriers and a clear understanding of the products and services offered.
  • Represent Alera Group in a professional manner at social functions in the community.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience in financial services or benefit services related position.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as summary plan descriptions, insurance certificates, and contracts.
  • Document on-going activities clearly and communicate difficult, industry topics in a clear, concise manner.
  • Ability to calculate figures and apply basic mathematical concepts, solve problems, and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
