Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team in Hinsdale, Illinois.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional, highly technical nursing care to all cardiovascular patients.
- Assist physicians during all cardiovascular procedures.
- Maintain complete documentation of cardiovascular procedures.
- Participate in in-services, continuing education, and workshops to remain abreast of new procedures and current technologies.
- Accountable for the maintenance of quality control in all areas of the lab.
- Provide a secure and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Typically requires 2 years cardiac cath lab experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in PTCA, EPS preferred.
- AAS in RTR, or RTN license, or a minimum of 5 years experience as RTR or RTN experience preferred.
- Minimum of 12 CEU hours per year.
- Ability to recognize the needs and behaviors of a variety of age groups of patients treated.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to anticipate patient and unit needs.
- Ability to teach procedures to the staff.
- Current License in the state of IL as a RTR, RTN, or RCVT.
- ACLS, IABP. RCIS within two years of employment.
